I'm running 235-60's with 1" lower springs.  Removed the top bolt holding the inner fender well.

Sweet looking ride. Like that look. Can also replace that bolt with a button head one.

I'm running 235-60's......

I run 235-60's on my 66's as well, stock suspension height. 255-60's in the rear.
245's in the front might rub at times, and 255's look huge!
Were you planning on 60-series tires?

Hi John, just sent you a pm with this info:

Just looked this up.... there's a BFG tire size chart at:
http://www.tqtire.com/datasheets/BFGoodrich-Radial-TA.pdf

Your 225/70-15's are very tall at 27.4" with a 9" width.
Stock tire size was a 7.75x14 which is (edited) 27" tall and 7.65" wide.
Choices, listed by height:
225/70-15: 27.4" tall, 9.0" wide........very tall, wide
215/70-15: 26.9" tall, 8.7" wide........still tall, wide
245/60-15: 26.6" tall, 9.8" wide....... very wide
235/60-15: 26.1" tall, 9.5" wide....... good height and wider
215/65-15: 26.0" tall, 8.7" wide....... good height and width
 (edited)
225/60-15: 25.6" tall, 9.0" wide........short

I'll let you decide!

Hi Walt, thanks for your reply on bfg. tire sizing. Sounds like 215x65r15 is the safest bet without knowing someone running 215x70r15 on the front. I also have a 1978 Regal Turbo, nice driver,no performance here. Thanks again John.

I believe the 775x14 tire ran between 26.8 and 27 inches tall. The stock tire on a skylark was a  little smaller.

Bob, Thanks for the correction. Coker shows 775-14  US Royals at 27" tall and 7.65" wide.
Closer to stock would be a 215/75R-14 to 225/75R-14, or 205/75R-15.  Not avail in a BFG T/A radial.

John, The 215/65's should work nicely for you since they are smaller than your present fronts. What's in the back?
