Does anyone have a photo of what the manual transmission hump is suppose to look like ?
Obviously this one has been cut a little bit , just wondering if there should be any little tabs or special notches in it or if it's just a slight oval shaped hole .
Also if it makes any difference I will be putting a 3 speed back in it .

John,

Just the oval shaped hole, 3 & 4 speed are the same.

I took some pics of how I pieced in the trunk section. The rear crossmember was nice on the car,so I cut about 1/4 inch above it and die grinded the length parallel so the seam will be invisible. These are the 3 piece sections that I bought because I did not want to cut out my original body mounts or gas tank straps. Dan

Looks good , I'll have to see how far gone mine is after I get it media blasted . I'm pretty sure the rear cross bar is ok but not to sure how back the rust is .
Sometimes after striping them it's a whole different story .
Thanks for the photos though .

Hi Jim , unfortunately my progress will be coming to a halt very soon for the summer except for the gathering of more parts .  It's almost time to start on the house addition which is going to take my summer .
I am still hoping to get down there and visit with you and check out some of your parts .
I still need a complete drive train . ( posi rear end , drive shaft, 3 speed trans and bell housing set up )

Actually worked on it a bit today. I had a couple of cars that were a lot easier to make "show" again, but this is a convertible that my dad built(with a lot of other sober 3rd shifters) in 1965 at the Flint plant. Just remember John that it doesn't hurt to find that kid with a sandblaster....I found a local guy that did my frame and a lot of small stuff for cheap. Your car looks to be in about the same condition as mine as far as the quarters. It usually looks better after blasting,Dan

Dan ,   its not a good thing but I'm glad to pay 2.30-2.40 a gallon compared to the race gas i have to buy at 14.00 a gallon . LOL
But I do try to imagine what it would be like to pay under a dollar a gallon again .   WHO KNOWS JUST MAYBE !!!!
