Floor Console Question

Hi guys, Happy Holidays to everyone!  I have a question about the floor console for my four speed GS.  After Brian helped me take it out of the car to repaint, we discovered that the three tabs underneath the console that hold the upper shift boot had been broken off.  Does anyone have any ideas how I could possibly fix that or how to work around not having them and still be able to use the new upper shift boot I'm purchasing? Thanks!
