Who do you guys like for Carter AFB rebuild kits for the Nailhead?  I've got duals, so looking for good quality and value.

Thanks!

Hygrade/Standard still has them, pn 283d.  Under $20 from Autozone or Rockauto.
Napa might have them too. Costs more, but maybe quality is better?

Thanks Guys.  I've heard alot of good things about Carmen.  I don't know the full range of what products he offers, but I'll have to get educated on that.

I agree with Tom, Carmen is a real good guy to work with. If we could only drag him into the 21st century and get him to use a computer.

Not a chance Loren.  ::)
If you want a professional rebuild he is also the guy. About $200 as I recall and he was upset when I needed a minor choke adjustment.

Talked with Carmen this morning.  And he is quite a talker, but I enjoyed it.  In the end, I purchased the carb rebuild kits ($35 now), a solid state distributor curved for the dual quad setup I have, a heat shield and plug wires.  Sounds like he has loads of other stuff also, both new and used.

Thanks for the tip!

Have known Carmen for almost 20 yrs now. Had the opportunity to meet face to face once many years ago. Defineately a great Buick guy. Fair and very knowledgable.
