65 type 1 radiator support
« on: May 02, 2011, 10:27:00 AM »
Are the upper and lower parts of a 66 GS support the same as a 65 GS? The reason I ask is because I have a very nice 65 type 1 support I also have the upper and lower parts of a 66 and wonder if they could be changed to make the support to fit a 65 GS/Skylark with a cross flow radiator? Thanks Bill.

I know for a fact the lower portion is the same with the '66, but not sure about the top.  Where the top may be different is the length--i.e. the spacing beween the inside edge of the fenders where it bolts to them.  A quick measurement will determine if they are different or not.
