What Is It ?
« on: February 23, 2011, 04:37:27 PM »
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-Buick-Special-Skylark-65-66-Hood-Emblem-Ornament-/130490105640?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e61d0ff28

Title says NOS 65 - 66 Skylark Hood Ornament. Then further down in the ad it says "I am not sure what year it belongs to buyer is responsible to determine its correct for their application.Comes with original box flap is missing on box."

What do you think it is ?

That is a NOS hood ornament for a '66 Special.   The one on a '66 Skylark has the same top portion, but is made to fit in a slot in the hood spear.  The Special didn't have the hood spear, so it had the mounting foot on it so it would mount to the hood by itself.  I have one of these in the cabinet at home--it isn't NOS though.
