Rear window trim, 65 hardtop
« on: January 07, 2009, 04:51:51 PM »
looking for help.  Iam finishing my restoration on my gs  hardtop and having a problem with the interior rear window trim.  At the bottom of the inside rear window, what finishes off the trim in the lower corners?  I took pictures when I took it apart, but as I look at it, I draw a blank

I'll try to get down to the garage and snap some pictures from one of my cars.  Meanwhile if anyone else has any pictures that will help out, please post them.

Thanks,

Chris

Perfect, thanks for the time.  Now I need to locate those two end caps.  Any contacts or sources to buy them?

I think that Dan was having the same problems...

I'll give him a call and see if he'll post some information on this thread for you.

Dan must be really busy since I've not heard back from him in a while.

I was cleaning up the board today though and did find this...

I knew that Dan had a similar question and hopefully this is what you need.

I looked at a GTO and it apperars to be the same as the GS.  I ordered the 2 corners from Legendary.  I did get the 7 piece set from OPG, but the lower corners where the wrong ones.  Your picture helped clear it up.  I have had several issues with the aftermarket stuff.  I guess if you own a chevy or ford, things would be easier.

Yes it would be simpler, but anyone can own a Ford or a Chevy.
If it was easy, we wouldn't be Buick owners. Would we?

Back in 1965, my Dad bought a brand new Skylark GS, first car I ever drove. Loved it then, love it now. what a ride
