? Original Shifter Handle and Knob, Dearborn 3-speed ?

Anyone have a picture of an original 3-speed shifter handle and knob?  What is the thread size for the original knob?

I just checked the handle that I got back from the chrome shop and the threads are 9/16 X 18 threads per inch , unfortunately I just checked the ball and the threads on it are 1/2 X 20 threads per inch . So it looks like I will be looking for a shifter ball also .

My handle looks like yours, but not as pretty!  My thread size is 9/16-18 also.   Confirms my handle is orignal.

I got a black knob from these guys:  https://www.twistedshifterz.com/   They didn't stock one with the 3 speed pattern engraved, but made it to order for $35 mailing included.   

Were the original knobs black?

I guess I,m not 100% sure the knobs were black as mine is not original to the car but I believe they were .

Original knobs were black. Non-console cars had the pattern engraved on the knob.
Cars with a consolette had plain black knobs.

Did all the knobs have a set screw to hold the knob in correct orientation,  or just the ones with the shift pattern engrave in them?

The aftermarket knob has a jam nut that lock it in place.

Interesting conversation.  I have an original 65 GS 4 speed shifter, and it has the finger lift reverse safety lockout and a chrome ball. No pattern. Just a huge chrome ball.
Were the 3 speed levers different??

Yes, three speed and four speed shifters are different . 

 The three speed shifter does not have the reverse lock out lever. As Mark pointed out, The factory knob was black plastic. If the car had a consolette, the shift lever ball did not have a pattern on it.
