Dear Got_Tork, Dan, Chuck, Kevin, Jim, Glenn, John, and mid-60s Buick welcome wagon . . .

I have 65 Skylark 2dr hardtop with a 462.

Welcome to 65GS.com!! . . . . . . . . . Well if you've "Got_Tork", don't just sit there.  So exactly how much torque!?  What's the horsepower?  What's the cam?  What's the compression ratio?  What's the dynamic compression ratio?  Go ahead and spill da' beans man! . . . .  :laughing7:

Future plan is to install a 200R4.Keep the R's down on the highway is always a good thing.

Definitely agreed.  Already did that on my "welcome wagon" . . . . .

My wagon's engine might bear a similarity to the engine in your 1965 Buick!

Welcome aboard!  :icon_thumright:

Cheers, Edouard

Looks like there's a substantial amount of torque doing some serious lifting there.

How did you make the hood scoop? (Re: New Guy From NE Ohio)

Dear Got_Tork, Glenn, Kevin, and owners of mid-60s Buicks that "got torque". . . .

Elagache,You sound to excited,(as I'm laughing to myself)so I'll have to keep you in suspense for now,but enough to do this.

Okay, okay, I believe that you've "got torque!"  :glasses9:

So how did you do the cowl induction scoop?  Was that a fiberglass hood or did you manage to "fab" that in steel?

Cheers, Edouard

Mr. Tork,

Welcome to the Playhouse from the upper midwest.
Really cool car, nicely done. There a few 65s with later model 455 POWer residing here.

Tony S. doesn't post a lot of pics, but this is his machine.

I never forget an EFI system! (Re: New Guy From NE Ohio)

Dear Mark, Tork, and mid-60s Buick fans of Torque!

Tony S. doesn't post a lot of pics, but this is his machine.

Hmm, that does strongly resemble a FAST EZ-EFI 1.0 electronic fuel injection system!  I was glad to have one at the time, but I'm definitely sold on laptop adjustable EFI systems now.

Cowl is a bolt on 4" from Ulimeted Products and it never got further than that.lol.

Well, you did a great job bolting it on so that the hood looks clean and like cowl belongs there!

Now you are talkin'!!! . . . . .

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. If you feel up to it, go ahead and surprise us with your real name.  As you can see we are a friendly bunch and try to spell everybody's names correctly!
