George , I had to remove one side of the trunk drop down panel to get mine in . How did you put yours in ? I did have to do a little tweaking on mine in one spot next to the wheel well , it was right behind the right wheel well where the corner is tipped up . It was,t bent up high enough so I heated the flange a little and was able to bend it into place .
I,m really happy with the fit and finish on mine .
It is a major task but you'll make it . Sounds like you almost got it .
With the help of a friend, we were able to slide it in from the front of the car. Took a little bit of forcing, but it worked.
