Unfortunately, did not get any pictures of the event at Rob's shop. Turn out was a bit lighter than in years past but we had just as good a time.

On Sunday is the "Buick Extravaganza" held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Includes a swap meet and car show. Buicks have their own section since the show is put on by the local BCA Chapter.

First picture is of Buick row with a wide selection of Buicks. Last two pictures are of a VERDE GREEN '65 Riviera that has the 'base' interior in brocade cloth - kind of rare that way.

More pictures. Last one is a 1965 Special convertible that was mint. 300 V8, 2 barrel with AC. The couple that own the car have had it for 6 weeks. It was her mother's' car.

Final pictures are of two of the sweetest low mileage original cars at the show. The '65 convertible had 47,000 miles on it and had the 355 V8 4 barrel in it that pings on anything less than racing fuel. Check out the beautiful tail lights and the fit of the rear bumper.

Yes, there were some really nice cars there including many 64-67 Skylarks, Specials, and Gran Sports. Including some never before seen cars.

Thanks for the photos Dan.  Thought of all who attended while I was lying in my hospital bed last Saturday.

Gulp! What happened to you Tom! (Re: 2017 Spring Extravaganza)

Dear Tom and mid-60s Buick caregivers who sometimes need a caregiver of their own, . . . .

Thought of all who attended while I was lying in my hospital bed last Saturday.

Gulp!!  What happened to you to such that you ended up in a hospital bed?  That's hardly a replacement for a luxury hotel!

Please do clue us in as to your predicament!

I had triple ankle fusion surgery on Wednesday, May 3rd. During my recovery, I cannot place any weight on my left foot for up to 2 months. Performing those everyday mundane tasks we take for granted now requires some thought beforehand. I've been home for just over a week already. There are 5 steps between me and the outdoors, which are difficult to navigate. Life is rather boring right now.
