OPGI is close but not exact (Re: reproduce the gas pedals for 65,s )

Dear John and mid-60s Buick parts hounds,

I looked thru a few of my catalogs for a gas pedal and the studs but haven,t seen anything yet .  Anyone know if they are reproduced ?

I replaced the gas pedal with the OPGI reproduction a while back.  It isn't an exact reproduction, but it certainly looks decent:

I've never looked for the stud, but I've seen it listed on eBay from time to time.  OPGI might have it as well.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Thanks Edouard for the tip .  But I guess it was my lucky day , I found an NOS gas pedal on E bay with new studs for a 65 GS .
I hit the ( buy it now ) tab on my computer as fast as I could .    :icon_biggrin:

Could you post pics when they arrive? (Re: Gas pedals for 65,s)

Dear John and mid-60 Buick eBay "gamblers," . . . . .

Thanks Edouard for the tip .  But I guess it was my lucky day , I found an NOS gas pedal on E bay with new studs for a 65 GS .

Congratulations!
  :hello2:

When your new purchases arrive, could you get out your phone/camera and take a quick picture(s) of the NOS parts?  I'm curious to see the differences and the original gas pedal on my trusty wagon was a bit "weary" after 270,000 miles!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Dear Dan, John, and mid-60s Buick parts hounds,

I thought Fusick made a reproduction. Fusick part # AP64

It has been a long time since I've seen the OEM pedal for my wagon, but given that memory, the Fusick is much closer than the OPGI reproduction.  It might be close enough to satisfy Buick Club of America judging.

Thanks Dan for reminding us about this reproduction!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Nice find Dan. That looks like an excellent reproduction at a reasonable price.

Wow!  Yes the Fusick pedal does look like an almost exact match.  Next time I have to buy something from them perhaps I'll grab one of those as well - assuming I remember!

Thanks for sharing the photos!  :icon_thumright:
