frame engine mounts identification ?
« on: January 05, 2017, 08:10:20 PM »
Can anyone help ID these engine mounts by looking at the pictures ?    :help:
They are currently on my frame but I will be taking them off tomorrow .  If I remember correctly the guy was going to put a newer 455 buick engine in the car .
I will not be using them but would like to know what they fit before I sell them .

They look like '67 GS 400 mounts, just like these on V8Buick:
http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?258058-1967-GS-400-frame-pads
Another post there says they are pn 1380116 and 1380117. Number will be on back side.

IIRC, the '67 mounts have a 1" offset to the rear compared to the later ones. I think the repo ones from TA Performance are based on the later ones, so the ones you have may be considered desirable.

Walt , you were correct on the mounts .
Now I just have to determine what they are worth and sell them OR do I do as I usually do , add them to the huge pile of parts I already have .

I may be incorrect, but here are the same aftermarket pieces.  Yours' are the original GM pieces by the looks of them.  :dontknow:

Dear Loren, John, and mid-60s Buick parts hounds,

I may be incorrect, but here are the same aftermarket pieces.  Yours' are the original GM pieces by the looks of them.  :dontknow:

I don't know what effect is has one way or the other but these are definitely parts that are reproduced.  Here is TA-Performance listing:

http://www.taperformance.com/products.asp?cat=358

I don't know if TA-Performance manufactures these reproductions or is selling someone else's reproductions.

Cheers, Edouard

Hard to read the second number on both pieces. If it is a "3" or an "8".
Closest part numbers I come up with are 1380116 and 1380117, Group 0.029.  Application is '67 400 Engine.  The 1380116 was also used in '68 and '69 for 400 Engine.

Loren that is correct ,  the part #,s are 1380116 and 1380117 .
I do see they are reproduced now but I think they,ll still be worth a little bit considering the are the oem mounts .
I know for me personally I try to use factory parts when available or when money permits .
I,m finding a lot of parts on this car that are not original or have been modified , so my hunt for parts continues .

John,
I agree that there is value to them. For someone that is trying to do a '67 restoration or for that matter, installing a 400, 430 or 455 into a '65/'66 A body.

If I recall correctly, those are the same as the ones I used to install a 455 in a Skylark some 20+ years ago.  If I recall, at the time , the headers were the hardest part to obtain.
