Welcome to site. Senior Gold or modified, if it's a 65 GS we like it. You'll find plenty of information here to keep your car in whatever shape you want it to be.

It is a small badge car, I think it is a very early car, but the cowl tag doesn't make sense to me :icon_scratch:

You a have built in Fremont, CA (the BF on your tag). There is no deciphering those except for body style, interior and paint color. Your car is a sedan, black exterior (AAA) and saddle bucket seat interior (199).

Thanks for that information. I am starting to think the only thing original on this car is the sheet metal. All the interior has been changed to black, has a B&M shifter and after market steering wheel.

Welcome to our club house.  Nice car! I really like the hood scoops, are they off a 66?

Looks like his scoops are from a '67. They look good on there!

I think the scoops are 1967, they look like the ones on a 67 I had years ago. I don't know a lot about this car yet as the previous owner passed away and I bought it from his daughter. It has been sitting a couple of years. She said Her father had rebuilt the car in 2008.
It has an MSD ignition system and the pick up in the dist is dead. Had to order the part as no one in this area stocks MSD stuff. Should be here Tuesday.
I do remember seeing this car driving around quite a bit a few years ago

Dear Richardwa, Dan, Jim, Chuck, Kevin, and 65GS.com welcome wagon,

By all means welcome to 65GS.com!

Just bought this 65 GS. It has the 401 engine but has had some things added.
I hope You guys don't mind things that aren't completly stock!

Uh yes, indeed some of us have engine bays that "aren't completely stock!"

But that's okay I suppose since I'm the guy with the resident "welcome wagon" . . . .  :laughing7:

Welcome again and glad you were able to rescue this GS!  :icon_thumright:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. I like the 67 GS hood scoops.  It is says muscle car with Buick style!

Welcome to the site!,congratulations on your gs purchase! Stock or not please drive and enjoy your 65'! By looking at the firewall tag your gs was built 4th week of January, so yes it is a early car! :rocker:
