401/425 Nailhead manual flywheel thickness resurface limits
« on: November 26, 2016, 11:44:13 AM »
I haven't been able to find any specs on the limits for manual flywheel thickness.

I am re-assembling and want to know of I am good with the existing flywheel or if it needs to be replaced.

Rather than putting it in as is, I would like to resurface it, but do not want to go to the expense and then be replacing it in a short time.

The money spent on resurface and time to pull and replace, is not far enough a delta to outright replace with a new flywheel.

I see them for about $350, (Russell Martin @ Centerville Auto Repair/nailheadbuick.com and other places) and they are balanced for the 401/425, but no experience with these flywheels and not seeing any feedback on people who have used them.

Thanks in advance for any input.  :glasses9:
