1965 GS 3-speed progress
« on: November 23, 2016, 09:58:03 AM »
This is on the 3-speed floor shift GS that I recently bought in southern California, unrestored but very tired engine. Got the rebored engine back from the machine shop last week, and it is almost ready to go back into the car. Had to replace clutch and pressure plate--clutch disc was worn down to the rivets.

Dear Pete, Loren, and mid-60s Buick lovers of beautiful engines,

This is on the 3-speed floor shift GS that I recently bought in southern California, unrestored but very tired engine. Got the rebored engine back from the machine shop last week, and it is almost ready to go back into the car. Had to replace clutch and pressure plate--clutch disc was worn down to the rivets.

Nice to see that engine coming back to life!  Already it looks great with some nailhead green to establish its pedigree.  Keep up the good work!

Cheers, Edouard

Lookin' good Pete!  I know how good it felt to have the engine back together.  You're making amazing progress!

Pete ,  Engine looks GREAT .
That was quick . You must have a machine shop that doesn,t mess around .
Seems like you just pulled it out .
