Trimming
« on: November 20, 2016, 02:08:57 PM »
Hi guys, I'm working on Dusty and just noticed that at some point there was some sort of trimming on the back window.  Can some one shine a light about what I should be looking for and where to find it.  thanks.

Ames Performance has those. They are the rear window trim. Need to buy the kit and the corners. Paint to match.

Welcome Barb69,

Here is a picture of the pieces you are in need of.
The long one is used across the upper edge to secure the head liner and finish the edge at both the front over the wind shield and at the rear over the rear window. There are two shorter pieces, just like the long one,  that go down the sides. The upper  corners have the molded pieces with the round corners [ small parts to the right in pic ].  The lower corners use the molded pieces that are to the left in the picture.

The piece that is at the bottom of the picture goes on the ends of the package shelf panel. There is a right and left of these.

Dear Barb69, Dan, Loren, and 65GS.com welcome wagon, . . .

Hi guys, I'm working on Dusty and just noticed that at some point there was some sort of trimming on the back window.

I can't help you with your problem because I have a 1965 Buick Special wagon so I don't have the same setup.  However, Loren did alert me that this was your first post.  So . . . . .

Welcome to 65GS.com!!

Do you think you could post an introduction to Dusty in the New Members topic:

My trusty wagon might be willing to say hi to Dusty but only if formally introduced!  :angel4:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
