Thanks for the offer. We'll see how things progress, it might be a while (if ever) before there are 12 commitments for the project.

Loren

Count me in as a certain for a dash pad in gray to fit a white interior.

I think I have a usable core.

Does the 64 dash core happen to be the same as the 65?

Thanks Dan A for the update.

Will mark you down , Milton.
The '65 is one year only. The '64 is just a dash surround, no pad over the glove box.

Could a 65 pad be fitted into a 64? (Re: Dash Pad reproduction for '65)
« Reply #35 on: September 28, 2016, 03:32:28 PM »
Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick lovers, . . . .  :love4:

The '65 is one year only. The '64 is just a dash surround, no pad over the glove box.

Yes, that's true, but that makes the passenger side look a little "naked."  Could you fit a 1965 pad into a 1964 dash without too much pain?

That's definitely a "no-no" from the originality standpoint, but it might be nicer for a daily driver.  Perhaps there are some 1964 owners out there who would want to upgrade.

Just curious, . . . .

Hey Loren,

I would like to be put on the list as a maybe, all depends on when you will need the deposit or full payment, as I am currently rebuilding my rear end (burned up the posi).

I  have  at least 2 cores, maybe a third if someone needs one.

Let me know what's next when you get the 12 or more.

Has anyone posted this on V8 Buick as might get more interest as well as maybe some more contributors on this site.

Regards,
Jim

Regards,

I posted this to v8Buick and to the BCA forum with a link to 65GS.com, thanks for asking.

I tried to put it on Team Buick, but was unable to sign in.

There are 8 for certain and 5 possible as of today.

Please refresh my memory - there are 2 nuts on the RH side of the dashpad (covered by glovebox insert), and once those nuts are removed, the dashpad just "unclips" by pulling it forward?

Don't forget the instrument surround also has some screws that go into the dash pad. Plus, there are some 'clips' on the underside of the dash pad that go through holes in the dashboard.

Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

I posted this to v8Buick

It's my bad but I can't seem to locate your post on V-8 Buick.  Could you give us a pointer?  I'm curious to know how the "natives" over there received it.

Cheers, Edouard
