5 pin Ignition switch pigtail
« on: July 13, 2016, 08:13:31 PM »
So I needed to R&R the ignition switch on my 65 GS, and in the process found that the plastic and some of the wiring associated with the 5 pin connector pigtail was in pretty bad shape - brittle, relic melting, etc.

The switch and new tumbler were easy to find at Summit (made in Mexico, so  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed), but I'm having NO luck finding the 5 pin connector/pigtail assembly. Does anyone have a source for these?

It ~appears~ that NOS versions pop up  on eBay now and then, but I was hoping there was someone out there selling vintage GM electrical parts.

Thanks. (I'm guessing one could eliminate the all-in-one connector if they so choose, and simply splice in 5 new wires with female push connectors?)
