New Ole guy from Texas
« on: May 28, 2016, 03:33:34 PM »
Ive been playing with cars for about 50 years now. The last 10 I have had a thing for Nailheads. Put one in my '50 Chevy Sedan Delivery Company Car and have been hooked ever since. I recently rebuilt a 401 with an original 2-4 set up and have been looking for something to put it in. Bought a pair of 2 dr 65 Skylarks the other day, a hard top and a post,  and the plan is to do a GS clone. I hope clones aren't thought bad of here. Hope to share lots of info and experiences while here.

Dear EZ Cool and 65GS.com welcome wagon . . . .

First things first, welcome to 65GS.com!!

Ive been playing with cars for about 50 years now.

Well I think you've got me beat by about 10 years, although when I was 3 or 4 I did "help" my Dad when he was working on the Pontiac we had at the time.  Apparently I had a certain fondness of banging my Dad's feet with a wrench when he was crawling under the car!   :evil6:

Fortunately, I grew up to be more helpful when it came to automobile maintenance!  :angel4:

Sure all lovers of mid-60s Buicks are welcome.  A clone is a clone but it is still a fun car to have.  So go for it!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S.  Still, I can't help but offer a little temptation . . . . .

How about putting that nailhead into a Buick . . . . wagon! :laughing7:
