I'm with Hagerty. Haven't had to make a claim with them (and I don't want to!!), but I've had to use their emergency road service twice, and been very satisfied both times. Rates are less than 1/3 what I would pay through my regular insurance company (State Farm).

Thanks guys ,
Hagerty is who I have now also . I was just curious to see if anyone was using Grundy car ins.
I was talking to someone this weekend that said Grundy was quite a bit cheaper .
I guess I,ll call tomorrow and find out .

John,

Used Grundy for one year. Did not enjoy the experience. They were less but not very cordial.

Hagerty for 25 years. Rates are reasonable, especially compared to my everyday carrier that I've been with for 43 years.

Maximum mileage? (Re: Collector car ins.)
« Reply #11 on: May 18, 2015, 09:35:29 PM »
Dear Keith, Dan, Mark, Chris, and mid-60 insurance experts,

This is an item that I have deferred . . . until I have a car that can actually be driven!

However I'm curious, Can you go with a collector car insurance and still drive the car a significant number of miles a year?  My hope is to use my wagon as a vacation cruiser and . . . as others have noted  . . . there are lots and lots of places to see in these U.S.ofA. without needing to get off any road my wagon should be able to navigate!

Curious minds want to know!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

I have Grundy. Someone hit the front corner of my car when we were at the coliseum swap meet at cruisin the coast year before last. Naturally never left number or anything. Got home called Grundy explained what happened. Adjuster was at house in 2 days and I had 2100 dollar check in six days. Very happy with them and they are reasonable.

Bob ,
Do you happen to know the mileage limitations thru Grundy ins. ?

Since you are probably an insured driver on your other vehicles, the way I understood it was that my Hagerty insurance was additional agreed upon coverage for the car.

No driver or car restrictions that I can recall.
