You will probably have to destroy your LH headlight section to get it free from your upper bar, and conversely have to destroy the upper bar on the donor core support to get it loose from the LH headlight section, but it can be done.  You can get the lower bar off by drilling through the spotwelds in it, then when you re-attach it to the new section, just weld the holes back up to attach it.

Oh, and don't forget that you need to transfer the loop for the battery hold down from your old headlight section to the one you take off the downflow core support.  The downflow was pre-GS, so there is no loop on the drivers side for a battery hold down.

Elvin, I just did this on a 66 GS and replaced the drivers side complete wing where the headlight and battery set. Used a spot weld drill and it came apart very nice. you would never know it was repaired. If I cut the upper and lower center support close to the wing you can drill the spot welds on both and exchange them. I will get the core support out and check it and take a picture and post, thanks Bill.
