door window weatherstrip

Wondering what the best and correct weatherstripping to buy. I`m referring at the top of the door and rear quarter window. See lots of repos but they all have the clip on fuzzy part for the inner. Mine has the stapled on stuff as most Skylarks .  Does anyone sell just a 4 piece kit without the fuzzy pieces? My car is a 65 GS ht with wide upper mouldings. Any help would be appreciated.

Steele rubber products in Denver, NC sells the correct pieces that fit on the wide belt mouldings.  The kit just comes with the 4 outer pieces if I remember correctly.

The sweeps are also available at http://www.rubbertherightway.com/1965-buick-restoration-parts-windows-7336-ctg.htm They sell the outside material in 38" lengths and the inner small fuzzies separately in 48" lengths.

Steele rubber has the rubber pieces that attach to the wide belt mouldings already cut and ready to install.  They come in a 4-piece set and have the metal tabs on them made to fit into the slots on the wide belt mouldings.  I bought mine from them and they fit perfect--just like the originals.

Glad the Steele Rubber ones worked so well for you. Mark's post, which I linked to, indicates that there can be some issues. I used the ones from Rubber The Right Way and was satisfied with their product. Just thankful there is more than one way to do the job.

Good point Dan.  I looked back at Mark's post and I had to make the same holes in the ones I got from Steele as Mark did.  Most people don't even have those plastic pieces--most are long gone!  I know mine were.  The ones I put in my car came from Mark Ascher's stash!

You are right about those plastic pieces. Got mine from Mark also, but Mark Polastry in Texas.
