Needed/'65 Buick GS 401 Nailhead, convert
« on: August 04, 2013, 07:03:02 AM »
DocJD, here. I looking for a '65 Buick GS,Rag top, 401 Nailhead. Not looking to do a lot of work. Had owned one back 70-72. Sold it when I went into the military. My buddy got t-boned in it a month later. I had dropped  3/4 race cam & a Holly 750 dual pumper in it. Car would do 140mph plus. The only reason I know that, the State Trooper that
was following me, his speedo only went to 140mph, and I was still pulling away. It was a great car & I'd like to get another one in decent shape. I live in the mid west so coming to get it would be no problem. I have buddies that I was in the military with that live in most mid western states that could come to check it out for me.
I'd like to get some pictures first. I remember only paying 2500.00 for mine back in the day, but I understand how great these cars really were. I looking to spend for the right car. TY to all that reply. Please only serious sellers. Would like the 2speed power glide.

Those slipped my mind, Bill.
They were both converts. The white one was Chris Horn's. A very nice ride. The blue one was the car tom owned before he purchased the car from Chris.

Not able to find them on CL. Don't know if they are still on the market or not. I do have an email for Tom.
