ST300: Stator/Detent and Idle Stator Switch Troubleshooting
« on: March 09, 2013, 12:48:03 PM »
Think I understand how these are supposed to function, but I may be missing something. Continuity check shows the Idle Stator switch to open when the throttle comes off idle and the Stator Switch makes contact about 3/4's full throttle. I thought the Detent (kick-down) would make contact at or near full throttle but it does not. I have two sets of switches and both are acting the same way. Are they both bad or am I missing something here? Realize there are several posts related to these switches over on the other board but wanted to ask here first and maybe help build the knowledge base on this forum.
