65 skylark in PA
« on: September 17, 2012, 09:37:44 AM »
Hi Guy's there is a 65 Skylark on EBay that looks like the one I have been waiting for. Not a GS though! Is there anyone close by this car that could go look at it for me ? it's in ( Lincoln University, PA, )  I talked with the owner and he said it would be OK to have someone come by drive the car and look it over. if anyone has the time and is close by I would pay for gas. I really appreciate any help !!  :blob7:

She looks like a solid car.

Find a cast iron 4bbl manifold for the 300 and add a newer carburetor to pep it up a little.  Dan from Vegas swapped transmissions in his 300 V8 powered Skylark with an automatic with overdrive and he said it completely changed the driving experience for him.  It's faster off the line, easier at the gas pump and awesome on the highway.

I like that idea Chris, this car has a 355 w/ 4bbl on it though. I'm going to research that motor because I don't know much about it YET. I'm getting more pictures sent to me and talked with a friend that can save me a little on shipping her to Omaha. Just would really like a set of eye balls on that car to make sure what you see is what you get. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
