'65 GS venti-port restoration
« on: August 19, 2012, 08:19:08 PM »
I know there is a thread out there on this topic, but I can't find it.

What are the correct finish(es)? Where should I send these to have them done? Any information would be helpful. Pictures? Thanks.

You will need to grind off the stud to separate the chrome from the stainless. Then get the chrome re chromed. Then you can re assemble them. I have a pic of mine after chrome, but before re assembly in my resto thread.

I'm going to hi-jack this thread a little, how do you hold them together after grinding off the pot metal rivet material??? I have a couple of sets and I would like to restore the best pair. (sorry about butting in, but I couldn't resist)
