Bigger carb for my nailhead
« on: June 22, 2012, 03:04:05 PM »
Thinking of giving my nailhead a bigger carb. I am running the stock one now, runs good but I have read some times that it likes bigger ones. What would you guys suggest? It has to look pretty stock still.

Best performance upgrade is to find one of the 66 nailhead quadrajet intakes and quadrajet carb.  All 66 Riverias had the quadrajet setup on the 425 in them.

Brian I agree with the upgrade but would continue on to the early seventies 800 cfm q jet.

I actually have a 800 cfm Q-jet on my 350 4 speed right now, and when I swap my 464 in that one I could use the 800 on the nail and see what that does.
