I'm frustrated and confused on 65 GS Drivers Side Remote Control Mirror

What is the correct 65 GS Drivers Side Remote Control Mirror?

When I look in our Electronic Garage "1964-1972 Buick Master Parts Catalog" Page 164 it looks like I should be looking for 10.185   Mirror Assembly, Front Door Rear View- Remote Control   981016   1964-67/all.

I know a lot of other mirrors will fit correctly in my door but I am looking for the correct mirror & control for 65 GS including all pieces required to insall.

Does anyone have a picture of this mirror and door panel control?

Is there a matching passenger side mirror for this application?

I have a remote mirror off a 64 Skylark that is badly pitted but has lots of good parts.

If I give up on the Remote Mirror what is the correct Manual Mirror? 

I have seen mirrors with a tryshield and some without.

I am a bit amazed that there aren't any photos or illustrations of the remote mirror in any of the service manuals or my 1965 parts manual. Here are some photos of mine, sorry about the poor quality. There was not a passenger side remote control mirror made for our 1965 GSs. However, they did make a manual mirror for both driver's and passenger's side. These are now being reproduced and most of the major after market suppliers have them. They should have they Buick trishield emblem impression on the back side of the mirror. I have seen the correct remote mirror for sale of Ebay, but nothing there at this time. Here is a contact who advertises in the Buick Club of America's monthly publication as parting out 1964 through 1967 Buicks. Thanks for the clarification on the remote mirror and passanger side mirror.

I now know what I'm looking for. The pictures really help a lot.

Does your door panel control have a square base with screws in the upper left and lower right corners?

Is the wand a elongated tear drop or is it round rod with a ring cut in towards the end or ????

Marks a hoot. I had a great conversation with him. He's checking the shed for me.

I went to the storage unit where I have my convertible, sleeping for the winter, to take those photos. I went to photo the inside trim, took one bad photo, then the camera's batteries died. But here's the bad photo. I think you can see enough of it and the lever.  The bezel is square with two screws in opposite corners. The lever is smooth but tapered.  John

Does anyone know if the remote mirror used on the Riviera is the same as used on other '65 Buicks, including our Skylark GSs? If so, then there is an NOS one on Ebay. Here's the link;

The listing in my Buick parts book shows all '65 s used the same outside remote mirror.

The P/N is 981016, Group 10.185
