I'm with you.. it's a very tough question and I really don't know if there was any of the 15 colors I don't like. ;D
I'd take one of each color if I could...
It's tough but here are my top picks in order:
Midnight Blue
Flame Red
Burgundy Mist
Silver Cloud
Arctic White
Champagne Mist
Regal Black

Tough call for me as well.
Here's mine:
Midnight Aqua

Champagne Mist
Shell Beige
Silver Cloud
Astro Blue
Can you see that I'm somewhat partial to blue ;D

How about a top 5 personal,maybe?
I'm with the rest of you , it's a hard choice.
For me, body style has a factor too.

My first GS was a light beige on the bottom and a gold color on top. Upholstery was fawn color. I loved that color combination and people assumed it was a vinyl top. My second choice would be burgundy on the bottom with a black vinyl top and black upholstery....very cool combination.

My car was white with white interior and a white top......apparently someone was into white. I wish it was ASTRO blue, but it is not going to be. I'm thinking it is staying white.
-
I am also partial as I have a flame red with white interior. But if you own a 65 GS, you got the best there is in any color!!!
-
Flame red would be second.

Anybody used PPG single stage flame red? I've heard of different versions. I'm not so concerned about correct so anyone know which is the brighter red? Sjfd04 love yours, I want that color!

It seems that the code 81(wa 8774) and the code (wa 9260) are almost identical as far as flame red in the GM colors. These are both very common in the 90's up through the 2000's and I have never had any problem matching wrecked cars with these color codes. I would not recommend single stage paint on a restoration. If you ever have to repair it,it is easier to blend colors on an older paint job with base/clear. You don't really save any time or money using single stage.
