Title: exhaust manifold
Post by: nailr65 on January 05, 2010, 08:50:23 AM
Is there any way to duff up rusty exhaust manifolds without removing them from the car?

Calyx manifold dressing has been popular for a long time:

Others have mentioned Slip Plate graphite coating and even anti-seize as substitutes.

I've used Calyx before and really liked it.

You can either use it with the manifolds on or off the car.

When you dress them on the car, the engine heat sets the dressing and off the car you can simply bake them in the oven (if your wife is ok with this  :violent1: ).

The dressing is very tough, looks nice and seemed to last a long time.
