Parking Lenses $135/pair (lenses are painted the correct silver, ready to install)

FRONT TURN SIGNAL GASKETS
Fits: 1965 Skylark, Gran Sport, Special & Sportwagon
Group 2.590, Part # 5956446
Parking Gaskets $20/pair (note: gasket is the same for '65 Special & Sportwagon)

REVERSE LENSES
Fits: 1964-1965 Skylark, Gran Sport & Special
Group 2.697, Part # 5955029 (RH) & 5955030 (LH)
Reverse Lenses $75/pair

REVERSE GASKETS
Fits: 1964-1965 Skylark, Gran Sport & Special
Group 2.697, Part # 5955114
Reverse Gaskets $15/pair

Lenses are factory-made of polycarbonate impact resistant plastic. Lens molds are injection molds made from original GM NOS lenses. Gaskets are die cut and made from UV & ozone resistant neoprene. All parts are HIGH QUALITY and MADE IN THE USA. Prices do not include shipping.

Post by: BuickGS65 on October 20, 2016, 01:05:08 PM: For all you "die hard" 1965 Skylark/GS guys out there, I want to make sure you are aware of what it takes to produce these parts, and I strongly encourage you to have a spare set sitting on your parts shelves for the following reasons:

The parts must be made in minimum quantity production runs, which costs a significant outlay of up-front cash.

The demand is always deminishing (they aren't making anymore '65 Buicks), so the need for future production runs lessen.

The molds could break at anytime.

In other words, eventually there will come a point of "when they're gone, they're gone."

I don't want to come off as pressuring anyone to buy another set out of fear. I just want to make sure that everyone is aware of the reality of producing these parts, and that you at least consider having a spare set. THANK YOU

On the shelf for now and will work into the winter projects along with bumper rechrome, armrest rechrome, window fuzzy replacement and other odds and ends. When the car sits in the garage for 5-6 months, you may as well take it apart.

Remaining inventory: 8 pairs of front lenses and 15 pairs of reverse lenses. Once these are gone, I have no clue when I will be authorizing another production run.

For me, this is always very cool to see. I've been in the injection molding/plastics industry since 1986. That tool looks like it's in good condition from the photo. Even a prototype mold can last a long time making short runs. Looks like it runs in a 90-100 ton machine, especially since the material is PC. I'm assuming you had this built domestically. Overseas tools were considerably cheaper but your IP will definitely be compromised. These days though things are turning around with shipping costs, delays, power outages, etc. it makes sense to build even production tools domestically or in places like Canada or Portugal.

Lenses are factory-made of polycarbonate impact resistant plastic. Lens molds are injection molds made from original GM NOS lenses. Gaskets are die cut and made from UV & ozone resistant neoprene. All parts are HIGH QUALITY and MADE IN THE USA. Prices do not include shipping.

1/22/24 UPDATE:
I am pleased to announce that I have the reverse lenses, reverse gaskets, turn signal gaskets and a limited number of front turn signal lenses now in-hand IN STOCK and ready to ship.

I've said it before... These products are getting more difficult to produce each production run. This PARTIAL lens order took 21 months to get done (I still don't have my entire order), and the gaskets currently are not being produced at this time. If you want these parts (or a spare for your shelf), now is the time. This is potentially the FINAL production run... That statement is NOT a sales tactic. I simply can no longer guarantee that these will be made in the future.

I am offering these products first to my 65 GS members and friends, before I make them available to the Buick Parts Catalog companies such as CARS...

There now CHINESE knock-off reproductions on eBay. These are NOT my parts and surely not to our quality standards. BUYER BEWARE

Yet another reason why I probably won't be making these any longer.
