Title: Grand Sport emblems and fasteners

Hey all , spent half the day CAREFULLY removing some chrome trim and Emblems . Are any of the emblems reproduced ?  I successfully removed them but the one on the left side C pillar already had broken studs and was just glued on .
I also have most of the barrel clips I need but I've never seen the ones for the trunk emblem except the one single barrel clip on the far left side , is there suppose to be clips in these small narrow slot also ?

John,

All the Gran Sport emblems are reproduced, except the glove box one (far as I know). There are stamped, self threading
nuts for the C-pillars. Yes, there are clips for the trunk emblem, but not many survived the rust. they are very small & thin.
usually after a repaint, that one can be carefully pressed in with your fingers and it won't be going anywhere. Or a dab
of RTV could help.

Thanks Mark . Yeah I was looking at the glove box emblem , it looks pretty delicate . I'll make sure to be carefully when removing it .
( especially now that I know it's not reproduced )

John, if your emblems look good but are missing the 'd'....... well, they're supposed to be that way! :icon_biggrin:
It's okay, we'll have you trained on all this Buick stuff within a few more months. You've been a great student so far! :read2:
