I am a new owner of a 65 GS hardtop and this site was recommended by friend and long time 65 owner Stark Traxler.
I will get the car into the registry later, its a all black AA A code hardtop, automatic, non a/c, p/s, p/b , has a non matching 401 that I suspect was from a Riviera due to the code on the th400 that came with the car. I brought the car to Maine from Georgia just over a month ago, it had been sitting for 12 years and was not prepped for storage, I had to replace the fuel tank, clean out the fuel line and rebuild the afb to get it running, 3 of the
wheel cylinders are seized so I will go through all the brakes. my intention is to get it on the road as an occasional driver next spring and I plan on bringing it to Bowling green in the fall.
The car was built in Fremont, sold new at Boulevard Buick in Long Beach Ca. I have the protecto-plate, I also found insurance paperwork from a former owner in Sparks Nev.
I am a long time GSCA member and have been drag racing Buicks for 20+ years and am looking forward to bringing this 65 back to life
