I'll be there with the red convertible. And I'm hoping to have the silver convertible back together in time for its debut.

Great Rob,

Probably being held up because of wiring?  I will get that done for you.

hah!  thanks Loren.

It's wiring and a lot more.  I will have new chrome and rubber and polished stainless in my wing windows, new battery, new carpet, new kick panels, new (polished) stainless in the back, new head lights, blasted and painted exhaust manifolds, tires,  etc etc etc.

Rob,
It looked great with the first restoration, sounds like more then just a little tweaking. LOL

Boy that Buick show sounds like a lot of fun . You guys are making me jealous  :crybaby2:  .

I would be great to finally meet some of you guys and reconnect with some of those who I've met in the past.  Dan would be flying into Ohio and we would make the trip from there.  I would have room for a couple more if anyone was interested in meeting at my house in Ohio and making the trip with us.  If my car is done in time, I'll have it on the trailer behind us otherwise I'll just make the trip without a 65 to hang with some good friends.

I am going to try and make this too. We will be near St Louis on the Power Tour and since we're not long hauling this year we might try to make it over to Springfield. I would like to meet some of you too!

SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING... driving the 65 coupe to this event..  Prolly crazed to think about driving a 53,000 original mile survivor from Tampa Bay but hey, these cars were built to drive..right?    I have work to do, all newbrake lines & wheel cylinders, exhaust system, rear end & on & on.

Making this event in on my bucket list for 2015.

With luck it will work out, it's always good to meet up with another GS fan.

It looks like there are no rooms at the inn. Ramada shows no rooms available on those dates. Anyone have a handle on off site lodging/ parking?

Reading on another forum - there are only 3 65 GS Skylarks registered so far for Springfield.

Mine is one of the three. Sure there will be a lot of late registrations.

Rollaround - many of us have rooms at Comfort Inns & Suites at 2815 N Glenstone. Give them a call at 417-869-8246

Is there a deadline to register?  I plan to be there with my car but the registration requires me to know my BCA number (which I don't) so I was waiting until the next issue of the Bugle arrives at my house.

Rob, there's no deadline I know of. The cost just goes up after a certain date, but don't recall the cutoff date.

Nothing wrong with not being a GS, that's what got me started into this crazy obsession.

I got confirmation of my registration for the BCA nationals.
I am number 128.  The '65 count is now at 7 GS, 2 Skylarks , 2 Wild cats and 2 Rivieras.

Need to get on the stick and get your entry in, time has a way of slipping away on us all. Before we know it June will be here.

Hey guys , is the Bca national meet a car show only or do they also have a swapmeet  there also ?

John,

The Nationals and most regionals have a swap meet along with the show.

Nationals seem to have more vendors as well, with primarily  Buick items. Quite a lot different then other swap meets since it is aimed at Buick enthusiasts.

All

Is anyone thinking about running a swap space in Springfield that may be interested in taking on a few extra parts?
