Title: Tail Panel Emblem - Need some advice please!
Post by: tsollazo on October 13, 2014, 08:34:42 PM
Hi All,

I had my tail panel medallion rechromed. The plater needed to remove the tri shield chrome piece from the medallion by grinding off the rivets.

Now that I refinished the colored plastic tri shield insert I'm ready to re-attach it and the chrome piece to the medallion. The factory used some sort of a rivet. See pics.

Any recommendations? Adhesive? What kind? Rivet? What kind? Other??

Thanks for the help!!

Tony

Tony,

Your best solution would be to use a two part epoxy resin on the back side where the three rivets were ground off.

Thanks again John!

I've got some JB Weld to do the trick!
